I am interested in helping others...find their amusement, as I try to find it myself. Having gone to Oberlin for German Literature, Studio Art and Computer Science, I know about hyper-serious, vexing and generally unamusing things as well. Currently, I'm excited to say I'm using my major with the German idiomatic expression paintings. I also have found an outlet for my odd predilection for idioms, farm animals, skylines, and nonfiction rules such as how to tell the freshness of an egg. There are more paintings now with children in mind as I have two now (!), but my style is geared towards adults who allow themselves a little fun every once in a while.

A graduate of Oberlin College (B.A. German Literature, minor in Studio Art and Computer Science)
and a Milwaukee native, I finished coursework in furniture design at the
Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design before launching my full-time art career
in 1996 in Chicago.

I am inspired by the white of the primed canvas and illustrate the entire picture first. Then I paint using acrylic paint, and coat with a UV protectant, nontoxic varnish. Paintings and watercolors are also original works, all pieces copyright of the artist.
